Security Officer - Driver Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Mobile, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols and mobile rounds, remain highly visible, and document security-related activity while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with time spent moving between checkpoints, responding to calls for service, and communicating clearly with site contacts. Requirements
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating concerns through the proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Control access points by checking identification, logging visitors and/or vendors, and directing authorized personnel to the proper location.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
