About The Position

As a Security Officer -Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a leading aerospace and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to service calls with clear, professional communication. Using a computer and/or tablet, you will document activities and support site teams with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Security experience of 1+ years is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while following site-specific procedures and performing assigned security-related duties at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Control access at designated entrances by checking identification, monitoring visitor sign-in processes, and directing visitors to proper destinations per site policy.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and irregular conditions in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to supervisors and site representatives.
