About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Ponca City, OK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will spend much of your shift on the move, conducting vehicle patrols and routine checks of assigned areas. You will maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. You will also provide helpful customer service while supporting daily operations.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required by site policy, and report irregularities to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift change briefings.
