As a driving, unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol shopping areas and parking lots, perform routine checks, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist guests and store teams with clear communication, incident response, and reporting. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and suspected shoplifting, and request assistance from local authorities when needed.
• Monitor access points, observe customer traffic patterns, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to site leadership using clear, detailed written and verbal communication.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and coordinating with store teams during peak traffic periods.
