About The Position

As a Security Officer - Office Tower Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols throughout a commercial real estate location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the property and respond promptly to situations. You will interact with tenants and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding any security-related matters.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrols, and other relevant activities as required by site protocols.
  • Assist in controlling access to the property and monitor entry points as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
