Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Bloomington, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support tenants, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with opportunities to use mobile tools while you document activity and respond to needs. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, alarms, and service requests, and notify property management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access as assigned by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, issuing visitor instructions, and documenting deliveries and/or contractor activity per site requirements.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and property contacts, and assist with security-related audits and/or administrative tasks as assigned.
