As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds and drive between assigned areas to help spot and report security-related concerns, support access control, and assist staff and visitors with clear, respectful communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and/or the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or hazard concerns for reporting.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical support requests, disturbances, and/or emergency notifications, and coordinate with site leadership and emergency services as directed.
  • Complete timely reports and logs such as incident reports, patrol activity, and shift documentation, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
