About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Palmyra, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct mobile and foot patrols, operate from a patrol vehicle as needed under Allied Universal driver policy, and help to deter security-related incidents through a strong visible presence. You will greet employees and visitors, support access control, document observations, and communicate quickly with site teams. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders at an industrial chemical processing location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, yards, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entry points and verify identification, badges, and/or visitor logs as required; assist with directing authorized traffic and coordinating access with site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and local authorities.
  • Document patrols, inspections, and incident details in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate observations promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
