As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete vehicle and foot rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist students, staff, and visitors with clear communication, incident reporting, and a customer-service mindset. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within an educational campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting campus stakeholders and/or public emergency services as needed per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas for unusual activity, assist with visitor directions, and support staff, students, and faculty with security-related requests.
  • Complete accurate, timely reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates during shift transitions per site requirements.
