As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related concerns while supporting guests and staff through communication and customer service. You will assist with access points, document observations, and escalate issues as needed. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift. This is a driving post requiring a driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of guest areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter policy violations and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or medical situations to the appropriate parties.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control activities, including observing entrances, verifying authorization when required, and/or directing visitors to proper check-in locations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports of security-related activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information to management and/or local responders as needed.
