As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or site vehicle to support patrol coverage and response. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, labs and/or office areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor processing activities, assist with badge and/or credential checks as directed by post orders, and help maintain orderly entry and exit flow.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial scene control and contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate shift information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
