About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Driver in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the manufacturing and industrial location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with staff and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires you to meet AU driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents and/or security-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities and incidents as required by site-specific policies.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed within the location.
