About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Overnight in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a commercial office location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control and badge checks. You will be a reliable, customer-focused presence, communicating clearly with tenants and visitors while documenting observations and responding to concerns. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors at a commercial office location by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies, and supporting security-related needs as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, looking for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Control access through designated entrances, verify identification and/or access credentials when required, and assist with visitor directions and general inquiries.
  • Complete required shift documentation such as patrol activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
