About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will drive between properties and conduct routine patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible, assist residents and guests with a customer-first approach, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for suspicious or unusual activity; verify identification and/or authorization when required by site-specific policy.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner; document actions taken and notify property management and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations; communicate updates during shift turnover and follow Allied Universal and site-specific post orders.
