As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment for all occupants. This is a driving post, where you will utilize your professionalism and communication skills to address concerns and uphold our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support overall security-related operations.
