As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a positive customer experience through clear communication and professional assistance. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with management and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, documenting observations and reporting policy violations.
- Complete shift reports and incident documentation, support closing and/or opening routines, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel.
