Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver (Unarmed) in Fairfax, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely incident documentation, while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and public areas for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards, and help to deter unauthorized entry by directing people to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and/or daily activity reports, and communicate key updates to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
