Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate storage property, where you will make routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist tenants and visitors with professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will document observations, communicate clearly with your team, and bring Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property, including drive lanes, common areas, and perimeter lines, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit to storage and parking areas, including checking identification and/or authorization when required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting management and/or public emergency services as needed and assisting with de-escalation.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts, and support property rules such as parking, loitering, and after-hours access.
