Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be willing to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, badge verification, and/or directional support while following location protocols and documenting security-related events as required.
  • Support Allied Universal and location staff by preparing clear reports, maintaining awareness of sensitive areas, and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
