About The Position

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor and contractor access procedures, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
Support a professional environment by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
