About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, while helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Assist with access control activities by monitoring entry points, checking credentials when required, and helping to direct visitors and/or deliveries in accordance with site expectations.
  • Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, assisting with de-escalation when needed, and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or location contacts regarding security-related issues.
