About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, while helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
Assist with access control activities by monitoring entry points, checking credentials when required, and helping to direct visitors and/or deliveries in accordance with site expectations.
Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, assisting with de-escalation when needed, and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or location contacts regarding security-related issues.
