As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas and complete routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain a visible presence, support access points, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • X‐Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and vendors at a commercial real estate location by following site-specific protocols, access procedures, and other security-related policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, loading and service areas, and parking locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor building activity through routine observations and security-related systems, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site management and/or public emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete accurate, timely reports of patrols, incidents, and tenant or visitor interactions, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.
