As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a world-class education and arts location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support staff, students, and visitors with customer-service focused assistance while documenting observations and reporting issues. Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, visitors and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, galleries, offices, and perimeter areas to help identify and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and interior spaces, assist with visitor directions and wayfinding, and help maintain orderly entry during classes, events, and high-traffic periods.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or alarms, and coordinate notifications to on-site leadership and/or public responders as required.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, document observations, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
