As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with strong customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols, observe and report activity, and assist with access points as needed. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, garden areas, loading zones, and exterior perimeters, with working conditions varying by location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual activity, help to deter theft-related behavior, and document observations according to post orders.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain accurate shift logs, and communicate pertinent information during shift changes and/or with site leadership.
