Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
  • CPR certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, entry points, and other restricted locations, noting conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing staff, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support order at the location by observing interactions, helping to deter unauthorized activity, and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
