As a Security Officer Patrol Access Specialist in Milpitas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unsecured points of entry.
  • Support a healthcare environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating routine interactions when appropriate, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or operational issues to the proper personnel.
