About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Coordinator in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access awareness, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or students by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related activities throughout the location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, lobbies, and common areas, verify access as directed, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents according to site protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities, provide directions and information to the public, and support a professional atmosphere within a healthcare-focused environment.
