About The Position

As a Security Officer Educational Patrol Access Coordinator in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an education location.
Respond to incidents, student and visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
Monitor access points and support visitor, staff, and student entry procedures in accordance with location policies and reporting guidelines.
Document incidents, observations, and/or policy-related concerns, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
