Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and guide employees, contractors, and visitors with professional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor cameras and alarms, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Control access at gates, guard shacks, and/or entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to the proper check-in process.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, coordinate with receiving and shipping as needed, and document entries, exits, and irregularities in required logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
