As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced technology location, you will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access points and visitor flow. You will use clear communication and customer service to assist employees and guests while documenting activity and escalating concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, loading and/or parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor logs, deliveries, and/or contractor check-ins per site procedures, escalating concerns through the proper channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Document patrols, incidents, and service requests with clear written reports, and communicate noteworthy observations to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
