As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location, you will help manage access by screening people and items, monitoring entry points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support routine patrol activities around assigned areas. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech-focused location.
- Operate assigned entry screening post by checking credentials, verifying authorization, and screening persons, bags, and deliveries according to site procedures while maintaining a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Monitor access points and surrounding areas for unusual activity and/or policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized entry through observation, communication, and consistent screening practices.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Complete required documentation such as logs, incident reports, and screening records, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or the next shift.
