As a Security Officer Screener with Allied Universal at a government airport location, you will help maintain a secure, orderly environment by conducting screening activities, supporting access control and badging, and monitoring assigned areas. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with travelers and staff, and document security-related activity. Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, belongings, and/or deliveries at designated checkpoints using approved methods and equipment, and verify identification and access authorization as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, checkpoints, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and screening documentation, and communicate observations and handoff information to Allied Universal supervision and location contacts.
