As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will support a controlled-access location by screening visitors, staff, and deliveries, checking credentials, and helping manage entry procedures. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and document unusual activity while providing professional customer service. Working as part of a team, you will help identify potential security-related concerns and respond with integrity, reliability, and care for people first. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen staff, visitors, vendors, and deliveries at designated entry points using approved screening methods and equipment, following posted rules and site directives.
  • Verify identification, visitor authorization, and required documentation; issue and/or retrieve visitor badges and maintain entry and exit logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, potential policy violations, and/or prohibited items; complete timely written reports and preserve related information per site procedures.
