As a Screener at a government healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff, support entry screening and vaccine-related access procedures, and help maintain orderly flow at checkpoints. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and document and report security-related concerns with clear communication. Requirements

  • Assignment is at a hospital site with vaccines.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff by following site-specific entry screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entrance screening activities such as verifying identification, managing visitor access, monitoring access points, and performing bag checks and/or magnetometer screening as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations per protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned government facility areas, including lobbies, corridors, and perimeter points, as directed by site procedures.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and policy violations to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns, and report findings through required communication channels.
