As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and team members, and support a smooth flow of daily operations. You will perform routine patrols and remain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents, while delivering customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and onsite personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors for authorized entry by verifying identification and credentials, checking access lists, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Conduct screening of packages, parcels, and/or personal belongings using assigned methods and equipment, documenting exceptions and escalating prohibited or suspicious items per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services, and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or operational issues. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
