Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location as a Screener, supporting smooth daily operations through front entrance and dock screening, credential checks, visitor and driver processing, and access control. You will stay visible, conduct routine rounds in assigned areas, document incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at entry points by checking identification and authorization, verifying appointments and/or delivery documentation, and directing individuals to the appropriate area.
  • Inspect packages, bags, and/or vehicles as required by post orders, report prohibited items or suspicious activity, and document screening results in logs and reports.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control activity, communicate unusual conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as entrances, staging areas, docks, and perimeter routes as permitted by the post, noting hazards, policy concerns, and equipment issues.
