As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with customer-focused service, communicate clearly, and document observations and concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and requesting medical and/or law enforcement support when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned, document observations, and promptly report concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, including incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift handoffs, while maintaining a professional presence and communication with site stakeholders.
