As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter unwanted activity, and document security-related observations. You will assist residents and visitors with a customer-first approach, communicate clearly with your team and site contacts, and respond to calls for service with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate assistance and following post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential common areas and along the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access through gates and/or entry points as assigned, including verifying authorization, documenting visitor activity, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, observations, and incidents, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
