As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff, guests, and local partners. Bring a customer-service mindset as you document observations, respond to requests, and support a welcoming atmosphere through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service.

Requirements

• Be able to ride a bike.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned public-facing facilities and surrounding areas, including interior and exterior routes, to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and common areas, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help maintain orderly use of the location in accordance with posted rules and site instructions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and public responders as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information to supervision during shift turnover.
