As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and customers with clear communication and professional service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and other prohibited activity.
- Monitor doors, receiving areas, and high-traffic zones for access control concerns, suspicious behavior, and policy violations, documenting observations per site requirements.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, support loss prevention and store operations when requested, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site management.
