As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy transportation location, you will monitor and patrol parking facilities and surrounding areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist guests with directions and questions. You will document observations, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at transportation and parking locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, coordinating with site personnel, and/or contacting local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of garages, lots, stairwells, elevators, payment areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity such as unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or tampering with gates, pay stations, or parked vehicles; document observations per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, inspections, and/or patrol activity, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts per established procedures.
