In this unarmed role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support access control and general site operations by providing directions, answering questions, and helping to maintain awareness of security-related procedures across the location.
