Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents. You will respond to alarms and access control needs, support badge procedures, and provide strong customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures for a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal staff and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks, to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points by observing entry and exit activity, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when directed, and reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations in written logs and/or electronic reports, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or on-site stakeholders.
