As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an education-focused cultural location, you will monitor galleries, classrooms, and public spaces, conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with your team while documenting activity. Requirements

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout galleries, classrooms, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, check credentials as required, and assist with visitor directions and/or queuing to support orderly entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or facility emergencies, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed reports, document security-related activity, and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts while maintaining a professional presence.
