Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, where you will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and calm communication. You will help to deter unwanted activity, support staff, patients, and visitors, and document observations clearly. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor and report security-related concerns such as blocked egress routes, suspicious behavior, and unsecured doors, and document observations in daily activity logs and incident reports.
  • Support patient and visitor flow by providing directions, assisting with wayfinding, and coordinating with clinical and facilities teams when security-related assistance is requested.
