Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical facility disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and report security-related concerns such as blocked egress routes, suspicious behavior, and unsecured doors, and document observations in daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Support patient and visitor flow by providing directions, assisting with wayfinding, and coordinating with clinical and facilities teams when security-related assistance is requested.
