As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and the public while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas; document patrol activity per post orders.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards; help to deter unauthorized access through presence and communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public resources as required and provide clear updates.
  • Complete detailed written reports, incident logs, and activity summaries; communicate shift handoff information to Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives.
