As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide clear, professional customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors. You will document observations, communicate concerns promptly, and support a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, and deliveries; help to maintain visitor and vehicle logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and/or coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Complete accurate reports and documentation, communicate observations to supervisors and site representatives, and report maintenance or operational concerns that may impact site operations.
