Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. This is a driving post, supporting multiple areas of the campus while providing professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an education location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions and/or verifying authorization in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during post handoff.
