As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will conduct routine rounds, provide a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with time spent moving between assigned areas and documenting observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, loading or receiving areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and report unusual activity using site systems such as access control points, alarms, and/or video monitoring, following post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, communicate pertinent information during shift changes, and assist with security-related administrative tasks as assigned.
