Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where your visible presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver professional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will be part of a caring, agile team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, administrative buildings, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping to manage visitor and contractor entry, deliveries, and vehicle traffic in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and local emergency services as directed by procedures.
  • Complete thorough shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and observations, and communicate significant activity to oncoming personnel and site leadership.
